Supported Encryption Algorithms:
AES (Advanced Encryption Standard): The gold standard for symmetric
encryption, adopted by the U.S. government in 2001. AES-256 provides military-grade
security and is the recommended choice for encrypting sensitive text messages and data. It
offers an optimal balance of security and performance.
TripleDES (3DES): A legacy symmetric algorithm that applies the DES
cipher three times to each data block. While still secure for most applications, it is
slower than AES and gradually being phased out in favor of more modern algorithms. Useful
for compatibility with older systems.
Rabbit: A high-performance stream cipher designed for speed. Rabbit
excels in real-time applications requiring fast encryption and decryption of streaming
data. It provides strong security with minimal computational overhead.
RC4 (Rivest Cipher 4): A widely-used stream cipher known for its simplicity
and speed. However, RC4 has known cryptographic vulnerabilities and is no longer recommended
for new applications. Use RC4 only when required for legacy system compatibility.
